Rescue Ready Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to improving emergency preparedness and medical readiness in youth and school-based sports. We serve student-athletes, coaches, athletic staff, community organizations, and schools by providing education, training, and resources focused on injury prevention, emergency response, and life-saving care. Our work primarily serves communities in our local and regional area of West Georgia, intending to expand access to consistent, high-quality emergency action planning and medical training. Through hands-on training, donations of equipment, and community partnerships, we help ensure that every athlete has access to a safer playing environment and a prepared response if an emergency does occur.
At the Rescue Ready Foundation, our mission is to protect athletes and communities by promoting emergency preparedness, education, and access to lifesaving resources in schools, youth sports programs, and community spaces.
Our mission is more than distributing equipment—it’s about building confidence, saving lives, and making sure no one has to stand by helplessly in an emergency.
Rescue Ready Foundation envisions a world where schools, athletic programs, and communities are fully prepared for medical emergencies, and preventable deaths are eliminated.
We are working to expand our programs; stay tuned for more updates.
Rescue Ready Foundation is just getting started, but the mission has been years in the making.
As a high school student in West Georgia, our founder, Luke Lewis, served with his school’s sports medicine team. On the sidelines of football games, basketball tournaments, track meets, and various other athletic events, he learned what it meant to respond when things went wrong—and just how quickly an injury or emergency can escalate.
But something kept standing out. Even though everyone cared deeply about student safety, most schools and youth programs simply didn’t have the tools, training, or even a plan that would be needed to respond when seconds mattered.
Now, with the launch of Rescue Ready Foundation, Luke is taking the first steps toward changing that. The Rescue Ready Foundation exists to bridge the gap between good intentions and real readiness by equipping schools, youth organizations, and communities with emergency medical equipment and by empowering communities to act when every second counts.
We’re just getting started, but the goal is clear:
Make sure every school, every gym, and every field is ready.
Because emergencies don’t wait for you to be ready.
